About our sample preparation consumables
Our fully automated sample preparation systems are operated with a set of four chromatography columns for every sample. These high performance clean-up columns are vacuum sealed and have a user-friendly design, which allows the operator to program sample purification without switching valves.
After ‘clapping’ the column set together, the entire cleanup procedure is carried out in front of the system. The sample never has direct contact with the system, meaning you do not need to worry about cross contamination. Furthermore, no column conditioning nor washing programs are required saving time and money. Because the samples do not flow through any valve, clogging problems also are a thing of the past. All of the four columns are heated during the puification process which results in an amazing boost in chromatography efficiency and an extremely low solvent consumption. Solvents used are hexane and little amount toluene. There is no dichloromethane involved, therefore harmfull solvent and vapour exposure to laboratory personnel is significantly decreased.
